Foreign Interference Legislation

Foreign Interference Legislation
The Federal Liberals are introducing foreign interference legislation that calls for the formation of a registry of foreigners who are acting as foreign agents. That sounds simple and straight forward and our leaders say that the Americans have something similar which is to say that makes it OK.
Did anyone point out that this foreigners registration, taken literally, would require American lobbyists that persuade our government to buy their military hardware including a 17 billion dollar order for jet fighters for which we have no need to register as foreign agents. Or the American sales folks who targetted Canadian politicians to support the utilizing of big pharma Moderna and Fizer as single sourced COVID vaccines at much higher prices than competition.
As for foreigners interfering in our elections no country comes close to the U.S. for foreign election interference.
And then they say that CSIS will be able to enquire with local governments as to whether they have anyone they suspect is a foreign agent.
One thing Canadians should understand is that Canada works hand in hand with the U.S., espcially in foreign policy matters, and information gathered by CSIS is shared with the CIA.
Now it starts to sound worrying. Gee, I might even get fingered because I support Russia over Nazi Ukraine. And I have declared myself as a socialist.
